Cafe24 Conversion Tracking Setup Map: Where Each Channel Goes
Imagefactory · Published 2026-09-18
To record ad conversions on a Cafe24 store, each channel needs its key or tag in a different place in the Cafe24 admin. Naver goes into the common key under Naver Pay settings, Google Ads is a toggle in the Google & YouTube app, Meta lives in the Facebook channel settings, and GA4 goes into Direct code input. Fill in the table below, confirm one test order in four places, and the store is ready for ads.
If ads go live before tracking is in place, the clicks in between can never be linked to a sale. Naver conversion tracking takes days from application to the setup email, and GA4 purchase events are zero until you build them. That is why tracking comes before ads.
The setup has five steps
- Get Cafe24 admin access. If an agency or a staff member does the work, use a sub-operator account instead of the owner login.
- Get the key or ID from each channel. Naver issues a common key after you apply for conversion tracking, Google needs Ads and Merchant Center linked, GA4 needs a measurement ID and a GTM container, and Meta needs a pixel (dataset).
- Enter it in the channel's place in the Cafe24 admin or turn on the toggle.
- Align the campaign side. Naver needs the campaign tracking option, Google needs auto-tagging and Purchase as the primary goal, GA4 needs the Ads link.
- Place one test order and fill in the per-channel checklist.
Where does each channel go?
| Channel | Where in Cafe24 | Events sent automatically | Where to check | Guide |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Naver Search Ads | Sales channels → Naver → Naver Pay settings → Application info → Naver common key | Purchase, view product, add to cart, begin checkout. Reports show purchase and cart | Ads Center Tools → Conversion tracking | Naver conversion tracking |
| Google Ads | Google & YouTube → Settings → Account settings → Google Ads conversion tracking tag (browser + server) | Page view, view content, add to cart, begin checkout, search, sign-up, purchase | Google Ads Goals → Conversions → Summary | Google Ads conversion tag |
| GA4 | Store settings → Basic settings → Store info → Search engine optimization (SEO) → Advanced settings → Direct code input (GTM) | None. You build purchase in GTM | GA4 Reports → Realtime, Admin → DebugView | GA4 on Cafe24 |
| Meta | Sales channels → Facebook → Facebook channel → Channel settings → Pixel / Conversions API events | Seven browser events, four server events. Naver Pay orders only with order sync on | Events Manager Test events | Meta pixel and Conversions API |
| TikTok | Sales channels → TikTok → TikTok channel → Channel settings | Seven browser events, four server events | TikTok Events Manager | - |
| Kakao | Sales channels → Kakao → Kakao Business | Not listed in Cafe24's documentation | Kakao Moment pixel management | - |
Channels with a dedicated Cafe24 menu go through that menu; only channels without one go into Direct code input. GA4 has no dedicated menu, so Direct code input is its only free path. The paths follow Cafe24's advanced settings, Naver common key, Google Ads conversion tag and Facebook pixel and Conversions API, TikTok pixel and Kakao Business articles.
What the advertiser prepares and what the operator does
If you run the store yourself, both columns are yours. If an agency or staff member takes over, the advertiser only handles the left column.
| Item | Advertiser prepares | Operator does |
|---|---|---|
| Cafe24 | Create a sub-operator account and hand over the ID | Confirm the seven menus open |
| Naver Search Ads | Share the ad account name and number and approve the manager-account link | Apply for tracking, register the common key, set campaign tracking |
| Google Ads | Share the customer ID and approve the manager account link. Make sure the Google account linked to Cafe24 is a user of the ad account | App toggle, event method, Purchase as the only primary goal |
| GA4 and GTM | Create the property and container under the advertiser's Google account and invite the operator as GA4 Editor and GTM Publish | Build the Google tag and purchase event in GTM and publish |
| Meta | Add the operator's business as a partner in Business settings and assign the ad account, page and dataset | Turn the Facebook channel settings to browser + server |
| Test order | Place one bank-transfer order, then cancel it after the check | Fill in the four-place checklist and send the result |
The GA4 roles follow Google's documentation. Only an account- or property-level Administrator can add users, and GTM needs the Publish container permission to push tags live. If the operator will add other people later, invite them as a GA4 Administrator.
The request list to send an advertiser
Written so an operator can copy it as is.
- Cafe24 sub-operator account ID and password
- Naver ad account name and number, and approval of the manager-account link request
- Google Ads customer ID and approval of the manager account link request
- Invite the operator's email in GA4 property access management (Editor) and in GTM container user management (Publish)
- Add the operator's business ID under Meta Business settings → Partners and assign the ad account, page and dataset
- Confirm a bank-transfer account is active for the test order
What happens when the order is reversed
Campaigns went live before tracking was attached. Clicks before that point can never be linked to a sale. Naver takes 1 to 3 days from application to the setup email and a few more days for review. Build the campaigns, but turn them on only after tracking reads In use.
We linked Google in Cafe24, so we assumed GA4 was done. The Google & YouTube app only inserts the Google Ads and Merchant Center tags. GA4 must be added through Direct code input, and the _ga cookie in the browser comes from the app's Merchant Center tag, not from GA4.
Three conversion tags are counting the same checkout. The app tag, a snippet pasted into Direct code input and an Ads conversion tag built in GTM overlap. Keep one source per channel and delete the rest.
